Email & Unsubscribe Policy
Atmosphere Media, Inc. · Effective Jan 1, 2026 · Last Updated Apr 1, 2026
What emails will I receive after subscribing?
The ATMOSPHERE newsletter — Monday through Friday, 6:00–8:00 AM local time — and infrequent service notices (at most 4 per year) covering material changes to the newsletter. No promotional offers, third-party ads, or sponsored emails are sent. Any sponsored content within the newsletter is prominently labelled "Sponsored."
How do I unsubscribe?
Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link in the footer (CAN-SPAM & GDPR compliant). Clicking it immediately suppresses all future emails — no account required, no further steps. You may also email unsubscribe@atmo.news from your subscribed address; we will process your request within 2 business days.
How do you comply with CAN-SPAM?
Sender clearly identified as ATMOSPHERE / Atmosphere Media, Inc.
Subject lines are never deceptive or misleading.
Physical address included in every email: 100 Pine Street, Suite 1250, San Francisco, CA 94111, USA.
Unsubscribe requests processed within 10 business days (typically immediate).
What is your GDPR legal basis for sending email?
Explicit opt-in consent under GDPR Article 6(1)(a). We record the date, time, and IP address of each subscription. Consent may be withdrawn at any time by unsubscribing, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
Editorial Policy & Disclaimer
Atmosphere Media, Inc. · Effective Jan 1, 2026 · Last Updated Apr 1, 2026
Is ATMOSPHERE editorially independent?
Yes, fully. Story selection and content are determined solely by our editorial team. Advertisers, sponsors, and investors have no influence over editorial decisions. No content is published in exchange for compensation.
What sources do you use?
We prioritise primary sources: peer-reviewed papers in indexed journals, official datasets from NOAA, IPCC, WMO, and other accredited bodies, and direct expert commentary. Pre-prints are clearly identified and treated with caution. Secondary sources are attributed.
How do you handle errors and corrections?
Errors are corrected in the next available issue with a clear note. Archives are not silently altered — corrections are appended and dated. To report an error: corrections@atmo.news
Is your subscriber count verified?
Yes. Figures reflect verified active subscribers per our ESP's most recent monthly deliverability audit. "Active" means the address has not hard-bounced and has not been suppressed for inactivity exceeding 12 months.

Do I need to accept cookies?
No consent banner is legally required under EU/UK GDPR or the ePrivacy Directive because we set only strictly necessary cookies. You may block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings, though this may affect form functionality.
